On this page we show a variety of Sudoku puzzles on a daily basis. The focus will be on Jigsaw Sudoku Outside Sudoku and TriDoku, but there will also be consecutive, non-consecutive, odd/even, hyper, greater/less than and other Sudoku variants.
We don’t post Killer Sudoku puzzles here – there is a special Daily Killer Su Doku page dedicated for them.
Make sure to also check the Main page of this site, because that’s where occasionally other puzzles are posted: Kakuro (Cross Sums), CalcuDoku, Overlapping Sudoku, Picross (aka Hanjie, Griddlers, Nonograms).

Instructions and rules for Sudoku variants
1. All standard Sudoku rules apply.
2. If you see an “X” across the puzzle (diagonals) it means that numbers cannot be repeated on those diagonals.
3. In “Hyper Sudoku (Windoku)” puzzles, there are 4 extra “nonets”, marked in light grey. All 4 of them must also contain all numbers 1-9.
4. In Jigsaw Sudoku puzzles (aka irregular boxes/nonets), the nonets have been transformed from usual 3×3 squares to “jigsaw” nonets. The usual 3×3 boxes do not exist!
5. Jigsaw Windoku puzzles are a mixture of the two puzzle types explained above.

8. Difficulty levels in increasing order: EASY – COOL – THINKER – BRAIN – IQ – INSANE

I receive the emails with the puzzles. I enjoy doing them but can we have the solved puzzle also? When I am doing one I never done before it helps me to discover my mistakes when I get stuck. Thanks.

Grey boxes=odd numbers
White boxes=even numbers

today’s puzzle is odd even Outside Sudoku.
shaded cells = odd numbers
non shaded cells = even numbers

Today’s puzzle is a Hidoku puzzle. Fill in all numbers from 1 to 100. Consecutive numbers must touch horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

I understand non-consecutive sudoku but what do the dark bars represent? Apparently this is some sort of variation. Thanks!
Ellen, the (non)consecutive sudoku puzzles with dark bars mean that the numbers connected by dark bars must be CONSECUTIVE. So it’s both a consecutive sudoku and non consecutive sudoku, because all other numbers must still be non-consecutive.

sorry for disappointing you- i should better keep you in line. I´ve already bought ALL of your in Germany available books- including zero killer sudouku maximum challenge. I didn´t need the pages 104-112 and the really entertaining puzzles started with no. 41. This book is from 2009 – now is 2012!!!You can´t let me suffer for another 3 years!

What are the rules for solving a PicCross? I do not know what to do!
Thanks so much for another great triangular puzzle! I really enjoy solving these, especially the COOL and THINKER levels right now. With more practice, I hope to be able to do the harder ones.
On 25/09/2012 was published in this category a classic sudoku with a THINKER level. It seems a sudoku without solution or, at least, a solution with logic. I tried everything including X-wing! I got 27′s, 47′s and 247′s in every place but without success for a logic solution! Anybody can help me? I don’t like to do sudoku by tentatives!
Fernando, you see the thin grey lines across the puzzle? It means it’s a diagonal sudoku! No repeats are allowed on the diagonals!

Current puzzle doesn’t seem to be showing up “for the first 15 minutes of every hour” yet. Problem? Can see it on another machine that I did a “Like” from.
Haved liked on FB and checked the first 15 minutes of the hour. Unable to see the sudoku variant.
Been on the site since 1200. It’s now 1205 I’ve gotten off the site and back on twice, still no puzzle.
I will not use facebook. They spy onto your email lists, sell your name to spammers, track, store and report your internet activity. All this leads to identity the ft. Facebook privacy violations are well documented. Please stop using this as a precondition to puzzles or the archive.
Why the Facebook requirements?
I’m trying to get more visitors to the site. If you share on facebook, more people see and search engines pick up more pages. That’s the only reason.
Like I said – you are downloading puzzles from my website for free, which means you like them. So I’m asking to confirm that by clicking on the “Like” button.

This Facebook requirement is the best way I know of to drive people AWAY from your site, including longtime fans.
Enxio, aren’t you being a bit harsh? It’s not a requirement, because you can still access the puzzles without any problems 50% of the time. Also, it IS going to go away almost completely very soon, in about a month or so.
If that’s too much for you after 7 years and THOUSANDS of FREE puzzles, than I would be really sorry to see you leave.
Pedja, I don’t fault you for trying to boost your Internet exposure (search engines and all that). I just think that, while the Facebook thing may have sounded like a good idea, it’s having the opposite effect of what you intended, not to mention that many people are having trouble getting it to work. I really don’t see how that’s harsh. Nor am I the only one to have expressed this sentiment. I’m glad to hear that it’s going away, because I think you’re shooting yourself in the foot here.
And I’m NOT able to access the puzzles 50% of the time. The puzzles never appear during the first half of the hour, no matter how many times I refresh the page, regardless of my “liking” the Facebook page or not. I’m not the only one having this issue, either.
Please, rethink this whole Facebook idea, and find another way to increase your Internet visibility, one that doesn’t punish, or at least infuriate, your current user base (you know, the ones you’re asking to promote your site).
