Get Firefox browser!

Filed under: General — djape @ 1:14 pm

This is off-topic, but I really want to recommend and suggest you to download the Firefox browser, which provides many features that aren’t available in other browsers. I’ve been using it myself for quite sometime and am perfectly happy with it. Now it comes with Google toolbar for better browsing, too! You can download it by clicking on this link bellow:

And yes, it is an affiliate link (I get paid for showing this on this website), but until now I’ve been showing the “Spread Firefox” button – which is the same thing except that it was shown for free and it was a sincere recommendation.

Try it and I’m sure you’ll like it!

I forgot to mention – it’s absolutely FREE!

Triple X

Filed under: General — djape @ 12:34 am

Another overlapping variation – now with 3 Sudoku X puzzles.

Warning: This puzzle is quite difficult even that it can be solved using only basic techniques. You must work on all three puzzles in order to get the solution. Also, I think you might get confused about the “fourth” puzzle which you might think exists in the center of the entire puzzle. Well – it doesn’t! The middle 9×9 does not have to be a valid puzzle! Look at the diagonals – they well define which 3 puzzles must be solved.

No Samurai X today!

Filed under: Samurai sudoku — djape @ 10:19 am

Instead, a very similar yet different variation – the true Wing X. This is not to be confused with the X-Wing solving technique!

Wing X for Saturday, November 26 – this is the only place you can find these kind of Sudoku puzzles!

Basically, not only do you have to fight against 5 interconnected Sudokus, but you also need to be carefull about the diagonals: ALL diagonals in the puzzle must contain one occurrence of each 1-9 digit. The diagonals are marked in the puzzle so you wouldn’t forget about them.

Double Trouble!

I have just completed a new enhanced version of my puzzle generator. We can now create any kind of overlapping Sudoku puzzles (Samurai-like) – that is, with any number or arrangement of 9×9 classic Sudoku inside.

Here I’m posting my first such puzzle – I’m calling it Double Trouble (the puzzle formerly known as “doubled-doku”). To spice it up a little extra, I made it “X” so be careful about the diagonals!
