Filed under: General — djape @ 11:45 am

So I’m back from my short ski holiday and I have just uploaded a bunch of brand new puzzles for you to enjoy on the New Year’s day.

I wish you all a very Happy New Year and lots of joy – not only while solving Sudoku puzzles :) .

Best wishes to all!

Killer Samurai X for New Year’s Day – this is the only place you can find these kind of Sudoku puzzles!

Warning: Today’s puzzle is very difficult!

Basically, not only do you have to fight against 5 interconnected Sudokus, but you also need to be carefull about the diagonals: ALL diagonals in the puzzle must contain one occurrence of each 1-9 digit. The diagonals are marked in the puzzle so you wouldn’t forget about them.

By clicking on this thumbnail a download will start which will give you the full puzzle.

UPDATE: Download this file to see the solution up to the critical point, when you must use “X-Wing” (for number 5 in the upper left sub-puzzle), which indirectly solves one cell and after that it should be relatively easy to do (no fancy stuff required).

I warned you – this was an extremely difficult puzzle :) .

Perfect Sudoku in Switzerland

Filed under: syndication — djape @ 10:29 am

On Christmas day, Sunday, December 25 2005, the magazine called “Le Matin Dimanche” from Switzerland will publish a few of our puzzles and also run a short story about our site and puzzles that we create.

It is likely that in the new year our puzzles will feature in more Swiss magazines and possibly in a book published there. More details about that in the new year.

Merry Christmas! :)

Filed under: General, Samurai sudoku — djape @ 1:15 pm

Merry Christmas to all that will celebrate it on December 25 and happy holidays to everyone else :) .

I uploaded the most difficult puzzle yet for this occassion – it’s a Killer Samurai X. It’s not difficult because it’s an “X” but because you do need to apply all the difficult solving techniques that you should’ve learned by now.

I thank you all for your support and (mostly positive) comments. I hope to further enhance this site and the puzzles that I will post in the New Year. It seems that our puzzles will be published in more and more countries next year and I’m really looking forward to that.

In just 3 months we have built up a community of about 1300 daily visitors (on average) and hopefuly that will increase in the coming months.

Thanks again and keep coming! :)

Cheers!

UPDATE: Christmas is no Christmas without gift’s for children. Therefore, here is my gift to all kids – Mini Killer Samurai X.
